We hadn't talked about Walt Siegl in a long time. The famous austrian designer based in New Hampshire (United Kingdom) that has been preparing totally unique motorcycles for a few years. One of his last examples that we told you about was the WSM SBK with a 70s look or the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 converted to the Dakar look.

But the idyll of this coach with the Borgo Panigale signature continues once again in his latest creation. This one takes as a basis his own 1970s-style Italian Superbikes and reinterprets it to make it even more radical and lightweight. Is about WSM SBK # 4.

The name may be a bit strange but you already know that Walter Siegl only works on request to offer its customers exclusive motorcycles worthy of appearing in museums. For this creation, his client told him to build a motorcycle as if it were for himself, not to leave any concessions and said and done.

For its chassis, the Austrian designer crafted from a super lightweight construction of chrome moly tubes with aeronautical quality. This allowed perfect torsion and flexibility for its purpose at the most contained weight.

But what stands out the most about this mount is its engine. Unlike previous WSM SBKs where you could mount the Testastretta four-valve, liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine developed by Bruce Meyers Performance, this time the Desmoquattro 848 raised to 1040 cc. An improvement that Walter made thinking about the lightness of the block and that also has seen its endowment increased with a lightened crankshaft, titanium connecting rods and a racing kit.

Unfortunately they have not provided us with the power figure total that reaches after the modifications, although knowing that this engine starts from 84 hp, it would not be surprising if it reached 140 or 150 hp easily. The airbox is still carbon fiber, as well as the air intake line or the fairing of its body (which is signed by Indy Performance).

Another change made from his previous creations has to do with his escape. On this occasion, the previous silent SC Project has been replaced by a Arrow branded titanium exhaust with dB killer and handcrafted stainless steel manifolds. A change that improves the response both on the road and on the track.

The cycle part is not far behind either, with a Öhlins adjustable suspension both for your front fork and for your rear shock absorber. While Brembo is responsible for stopping this beautiful bike using monobloc calipers and 330mm discs without ABS. For the rims it uses ultralight BST carbon fiber wheels achieving a total weight of around 143 kg.

To finish, the set uses electronics drawn directly from the racing world as well as a special edition paint. Ferrari red using the SP2. A whim the latter that came from the owner of the motorcycle. Its price has not been revealed, but as we said in the previous article, if you have to ask about it, it is because you cannot afford it.
