MV Agusta does not stop renew its range of motorcycles looking forward to 2022. If we recently told you about the spectacular MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RS, today we bring you a more radical model that comes to compete in the difficult sector of extreme sports.
It is the MV Agusta F3-RR, the most radical model of the Italian range that this time arrives loaded with technology and with some lateral appendages to give it a unique aerodynamics with which to improve its performance both on the street and on the circuit.
MV Augusta F3-RR: same power, less weight
The Italian brand based in Varese continues to update its large range of motorcycles. This time it was the turn of the most radical of all of them. It is the F3-RR, which for this 2022 arrives with a careful aerodynamic work and solutions never seen in the Italian brand.
You just have to look at her exterior to realize that her figure is much wider but at the same time more stylized. The causes of this design are the three ailerons located inside the new carbon fiber side panels With which this F3-RR manages to add up to eight kilos of additional weight on the front end when traveling at high speeds (240 km / h).
The aesthetic ensemble is finished off with an LED light signature and the legendary exhaust pipe with three superimposed outlets. On a mechanical level, it maintains the Tripistoni engine with three cylinders and 798cc, which it develops 147 hp at 13,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 88 Nm at 10,100 rpm with which it has managed to overcome the Euro 5.
To do this, the internal configuration has been improved with new valve guides that reduce the internal friction of the engine as well as with new injectors that increase the injection pressure at 0.5 bar. In addition, and thinking of those who can put this bike on the circuit, you can optionally opt for an exhaust signed by Akrapovič.
For its cycle part, it still has a steel multitubular frame and a revised aluminum single-sided swingarm. Marzocchi signs the inverted hairpin 43 mm of its front suspension with rebound, compression and load adjustments, while in the rear it uses a Sachs monoshock with 130 mm of travel with adjustable regulation.
To stop the whole, the Italian firm has counted on Brembo, using four-piston monobloc radial calipers together with 320mm floating discs for the front and a single two-piston caliper with a 220mm rear disc. On the other hand, seeking maximum efficiency as a whole, the 17-inch wheels have lost 400 g (from 4.56 to 4.14 kg) which has meant a reduction in inertia of 10%.
In the electronic section, you benefit from IMU system They already use other models such as the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR, which include engine brake control, traction control, engine maps, antiwheelie … There is also the third-generation quickshifter or the MK100 ABS system signed by Continental. In addition, it allows you to integrate smartphones on your screen through the My Ride app or use it as your browser.
To this must be added a competition kit that, in addition to bringing the Akrapovic exhaust system that we mentioned before, incorporates a new control unit that increases the power of its engine up to 155 CV, and allows it to drop from 173 to 165 kg of dry weight.
The MV Agusta F3 RR will be available in two different combination colors: Surreal White Gloss / Mamba Red Gloss, and Fire Red Matt / Metallic Dark Gray Matt. It is now available to book in our country at a price that starts at 21,900 euros.
