The recent China show is bringing us some surprising news. Among them pleasant surprises like the one we present here today. It's about the Colove (or Kove for the market) Cobra 321RR, a low-displacement sports car with a very nice design and superior performance that would enliven the European market for motorcycles approved for the A2 license.

Among its strengths is its price, since in China this motorcycle of 39 CV and 151 kg of weight It would only cost you 3,500 euros. A real bargain if we compare it with its two direct rivals that are currently sold in our market such as the KTM RC 390 or the Yamaha R3.

Intended for Asian audiences only

Unfortunately for us, Colove is a recently created Chinese brand that is currently not based in Europe. However, despite his youth, he is developing an arsenal of motorcycles quite interesting that it makes us long teeth. On some occasion we have let you drop that this brand has been "inspired" by other motorcycles to create its range as in the case of the Colove 400X.

In this the similarity is also more than evident with the Honda CBR 500R, however the Chinese company claims that it is merely circumstantial since this model is the faired version of the Colove Cobra 321R, the naked version found in its catalog, and that its components have been completely developed from scratch. Leaving these minutiae aside, what we can tell you is that its design is very aggressive, impressive and most tempting.

Unlike the CBR, its front it is characterized by being a little sharper, with a wider and more vertical screen. The side covers draw similar but not equal figures and their tail is totally different, as well as their seat. But where this model really stands out is in its engine part.

With a 322cc water-cooled twin-cylinder drivetrain, it is capable of generating 39 hp of power at 10,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 28 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Torque that is transferred to the ground thanks to a six-speed gearbox with anti-skid function. Not inconsiderable figures for a motorcycle that only weighs 151 kg. As a consequence, the maximum speed registered by the brand itself is 170 km / h. Almost nothing.

Its cycle part is based on a multi-tubular steel chassis attached to a single-sided swingarm. The latter solution is rarely seen in low-displacement models, but it undoubtedly gives it a unique personality and an important appeal. For its part, the front suspension is made up of an adjustable inverted fork.

Another aspect where this Cobra 321RR excels is in its braking with a team signed by Nissin and dual channel ABS. The set consists of a single 320mm front disc bitten by a four-piston radial caliper, while the rear uses a 240mm one. Both, mounted on 17-inch wheels.

To personalize it, it has four different colors: black, silver gray, dark gray and orange. And depending on the chosen one, its final price will vary by about 1,000 yuan (130 euros). Unfortunately, this product will only be released for the Asian market with a value of 25,980 yuan (about 3,500 euros to change), a figure that if it reached Europe would surely vary due to tariffs and taxes.
