The use of masks has been a lesser evil to which we have had to get used to in our day to day because of Covid-19 for a year. Yet always there are those who know how to take advantage of an unpleasant situation like this.

The latest news we know about it is that there are people who are using black masks to cheat on DGT exams. That is why the Badajoz Provincial Traffic Headquarters, place where the events are taking place, has sent a statement to all driving schools in the province indicating the recommendation not to use this type of protection in theoretical exams.

A rule that currently does not apply at the national level

Cheaters have always existed and in all kinds of modalities, be they sports and games or in the classroom. In the latter case we are going to look today after the measures imposed by the DGT of Badajoz, since since this summer the Provincial Traffic Headquarters is fighting against those people who use black masks to cheat on exams.

This type of protection that has served us as a first barrier against the virus that has caused so many deaths throughout the world, was serving the most rogues like ideal tool for hiding video cameras with which to complete the theoretical exam.

For this reason and to tackle any problem derived from its use, the Provincial Headquarters sent an email to all Badajoz driving schools, remembering that "by indication dark masks should not be used in the theoretical exam. The reason - according to the message - is that in other provinces, the Civil Guard has already detected the use of hidden cameras in masks of that color, and to avoid fraud in the theory, it has been requested that the masks used are not black ", as has been collected by the newspaper Hoy on its website.

The measure for the moment only affects Badajoz although it would not be surprising if its use began to spread throughout Spain. From the National DGT have not commented in this regard and refer to the order on their website that dictates the following: "It is mandatory to wear a surgical mask or FFP2 without an exhalation valve, and in any case it must cover the nose and mouth."

We remember that the fine for catching copying any student in a theoretical exam of the DGT is punished with 500 euros and the inability to appear again in the next six months.
