After a summer full of emotions on the part of Triumph in which they have revealed to us that they will participate in Enduro and Motocross competitions or the presentation of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR, today they announce the imminent arrival to the family of a new model which we have been talking about all summer.
This is the Triumph Tiger Sport 660, a model that complements the family of mid-displacement asphalt-cut trail bikes and will possibly have a very adjusted price. His presentation will take place on October 5
Triumph Tiger Sport 660: its own personality
It seems that those of Hinckley are filling in the gaps they had in their range of vehicles to conform an offer of the most powerful in which they no longer have to resort to nostalgia for classic models to sell.
Now he does it with a family of vehicles in which if you want power, you have power with his Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR, if you want adventure, you have adventure with his Triumph Tiger 900 and so we could continue for a long time with all its news. However, today we are going to talk about a new teaser that has been revealed Triumph of his Tiger Sport 660.
And it is that this model of medium displacement is going to be positioned as a asphalt cut trail with a very reasonable price to reach customers who demand adventure but who also like to travel asphalt sections with great comfort. And all under Triumph's quality standards, with its characteristic three-cylinder engine and accessible mechanics.
Although we do not have confirmed data yet, it is expected that this new model will use the Triumph Trident as a base. With a very similar cycle part in which we will see a steel tube chassis, swingarm, tires and brakes. Even the front inverted fork and the rear monoshock seem to be traced, although maybe with a little more travel.
Mechanically it will use the three-cylinder engine with 660 cubic centimeters capable of generating 81 hp and 64 Nm of torque from the Trident. There will also be an option that limits the power to 47 CV for A2 card users. The aesthetics, as can be seen in the photos, will be totally different and focused on the trail, with options such as the incorporation of suitcases or a higher screen.
At the electronic level it is likely that the Tiger Sport 660 inherits the same package as the Trident, with a digital dashboard, two driving modes, switchable traction control and full LED lighting.
With this new Teaser, Triumph invites us to its presentation that will take place on October 5th Through a channel that the brand itself has enabled on its home page and that we leave you here in case you want to be the first to find out what this new model is like.
