The Taiwanese brand SYM continues to renew its complete range of vehicles to adapt them to the demanding Euro 5 standard. In this case, it was the turn of the Cruisym Alpha 300, a model of access to the GT scooters of medium displacement that arrives loaded with novelties both inside and out.
According to the brand, its evolution is so great that it has allowed it to go up a notch in performance, efficiency, sustainability, technology and safety. And all of it available for 5,099 euros with a five-year warranty.
Optimized at full power
With these credentials it is positioned as a perfect option for all those who have the A2 card and want to make the leap from a 125 scooter to one with a larger displacement.
In this evolution of the model we can see how its shapes have been further marked to give it an aggressive touch, accentuating above all in front lighting. Lighting by the way, which is from double LED and that now incorporates the function of simultaneous ignition of the low and high beams. These look like something out of the Transformers Bumblebee himself.
Continuing with his design, we realize that the cTogether it is quite angular, from the front fender to the front peak, the mirrors or the moldings that make up the main headlight. We could say that these angular shapes have become a sign of identity on the firm's maxiscooter models.
At the top it has a good-sized screen with adjustable regulation in two heights. The mirrors are electrically folded, they are anchored to the bodywork and as a curiosity, they are also equipped with high intensity LED lights.
If we continue towards the central area, the Cruisym Alpha 300 has about very marked panels on the sides, simulating lines that lead us to its rear. Rear that is finished as it did before, with a hexagonal-shaped brake light and LED lighting indicators on the sides.
Its seat, with electric opening, has a backrest and is finished with white stitching, thus giving it a premium quality. Beneath it is a huge lighted trunk 48 liter capacity and in which two full face helmets fit without problems.
But without a doubt, the most significant improvement has been its engine. This launches a sophisticated Keihin injection system that allows it to reduce consumption and emissions to comply with the demanding Euro 5 regulations. In addition, it has been equipped with a new cylinder with ceramic treatment to improve its performance and reliability with which it manages to shed 25, 6 CV. This fact, added to a weight of only 194 kilograms, suggests that the set will perform agilely in any situation.
Another important improvement is the new high-efficiency CVT gearbox, which maximizes power delivery to the rear wheel with minimal vibrations, resulting in increased ride comfort and smooth acceleration.
The cycle part of its predecessor is kept for this version 2021. This is made up of a adjustable double shock absorber rear suspension in four positions, a braking system with generous discs (front 260mm and rear 240mm), with four-piston front caliper and Latest generation Bosch 10.0 ABS system.
As for accessories, the first thing that catches your eye is its new and sophisticated instrument panel. with LCD technology. Its design has been inspired by the Aerospace-tech style and its interface has been completely renewed to provide the necessary information in a clear and simple way.
Another very practical accessory that has been included in this Cruisym Alpha 300 has been the two charging sockets. One comes from USB 3.0 type to charge our phone while we drive and another 12V in case we have to plug in something more powerful. In addition, this maxiscooter includes an anti-theft system that allows access to the key to be blocked by an automatic mechanism.
It is already available in the brand's dealers in five different colors (white, black, tuberose gray, navy blue and dark blue) for 5,099 euros, a very reasonable price that includes free insurance and a totally free 5-year warranty.
