The 2019 Supersport World Championship already has a king. Victory at the Losail International Circuit has taken her Mahias fights for the third time in a row, but the real protagonist has been a conservative Randy Krummenacher who has become the first Swiss Supersport 600 champion.
The race was quite calm, I don't know because of the excitement that Mahias and Viñales have put into a victory that seemed to be in the hands of a Cluzel who went all out but ended up deflating.
Qatar is Mahias territory

With the Supersport 600 title to decide between Krummenacher, Caricasulo and CluzelThe intermediate category race at the WSBK held little intensity for us on a quiet day on Saturday.
The exit was absolutely carried out by the Yamaha. Jules Cluzel was placed in first position followed by Corentin Perolari, leaving Randy Krummenacher in third position under the threat of Lucas Mahias's Kawasaki. Caricasulo lagged behind in first position.
With Cluzel with nothing to lose, the Frenchman went all out pushing the pack hard, forcing his pursuers to do their best to keep up with the pace of a driver who could only win. The problems for Caricasulo each time they increased falling to the seventh position behind Viñales and Smith.

Slowly Mahias established himself as a candidate for victory, overtaking Perolari and placing himself at the wheel of Mahias, bringing together the two most experienced riders in the category in the lead. Behind an unleashed Smith passed a relaxed Krummenacher, who would already be thinking about the calculator to put on the crown, because he also allowed himself to be overtaken by Caricasulo.
The head of the race was consolidated with four outstanding drivers: Cluzel, Perolari, Mahias and Viñales. Not bothering too much until the finish line for eight laps to go, Viñales gave up to fourth place when he tried to get second by almost touching Mahias.

Precisely Cluzel and Mahias were left alone and the Kawasaki began to put pressure on Cluzel. One lap later Mahias took the lead from Cluzel for the first time and set a pace slightly faster than that of a worn number 16 that Viñales also overtook shortly after.
Finally Mahias he took a deserved victory accompanied on the podium by Cluzel who finished ahead of Viñales. With these results, Krummernacher claimed the 2019 Supersport world champion title with a 5-point advantage over Caricasulo.
