Combat Motors has presented its Wraith, a motorcycle that preserves the essence of the model by changing some details. It is presented as a frame with an overwhelming personality, very high-end and with a price that goes beyond 100,000 euros for the most economical version.
The American manufacturer will have it on the market in June. The brand founded in 1991 under the name Confederate Motors, which changed due to the misgivings it raised, is now called Combat Motors but remains faithful to its essence of producing very special motorcycles, with spectacular and unusual designs.
The Combat Wraith is a model suitable for few, both for price and for available units
The Wraith remains unique and particular since its debut more than a decade ago when the brand still maintained the old name. On the other hand, over the years its price has risen and currently the Wraith has become a luxury item reserved for a small clientele that you can acquire it in 2021.
The Combat Motors Wraith has maintained its basic build in a similar fashion since its inception, with a huge air-cooled V-twin, a well-known 2,163cc S&S, a base kit engine sold to preparers and builders. It develops 145 hp at 5,100 rpm and a gigantic torque of 215 Nm with 200 available at 2,000 rpm.
The chassis is a 6061 aluminum monocoque five-axis CNC machined from solid blocks, acts as a curved spinal column and where the supporting motor also functions as a structural stiffener. In addition, the fuel tank integrated into the chassis and with large portholes allow you to see the fuel. The entire motorcycle uses carefully selected materials, to leave it at a weight of 255 kg.
Unusual details are seen in, the front suspension that is Hossack system and the rear monoshock is on the left side of the swingarm covered with noble materials. Its front brake is also curious, with four floating cast iron discs with 230 mm diameter and mounting Aerotec four-piston calipers and radial mounting.
Another surprising element are the brake and gear controls since it has two pairs of footrests, two in front and two behind to drive in two different positions according to your will, relaxed with a straight back and feet forward or sporty with feet behind. With a 1,587mm wheelbase and 749mm seat height, the new Wraith mounts 19-inch carbon wheels up front and 17-inch lenticular rear, both from BST and shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III 120 / tires. 70ZR19 and 240 / 45ZR17.
This Combat Wraith is manufactured in a limited edition of 21 units and on request, at a price of 127,000 euros to the change in its Raw Machined version, unpainted with the metallic surfaces shining in all their splendor and 136,000 euros in the Knight Wraith version, in black.
