And it came! Today is a special day for Borgo Panigale fans. The Streetfighter is back with a prototype racing preview for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb: the 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4.
With the launch of this racing unit developed to compete in the race to the clouds, Ducati finally confirms that 2020 will be the year when its Streetfighters come to life again, and they will do so with a proposal more radical than ever taking the base of the Ducati Panigale V4.

Externally, Ducati's work has not been limited to stripping the Panigale, but they have used their knowledge in aerodynamics to apply radiator caps on which a couple of aerodynamic appendages on each side as on the Panigale V4 R. The specifications of the prototype are still unknown but everything indicates that the engine has remained more or less unchanged with respect to the 1,103 cubic centimeter version of the street versions that offers 214 hp of maximum power. The engine's ability to breathe and maintain performance will be critical as you approach the Pikes Peak finish line. It is possible that in the final Streetfighter V4 this figure is reduced below 200 hp.
