The Iwata people invented a new way of getting into people's houses with their motorcycles several years ago. It doesn't matter if they didn't have a lot of money or didn't know how to drive a two-wheeler, they didn't have to. They created the Paper yamaha, the perfect hobby to play with motorcycle models most mythical of the Japanese brand that is known under the name of Paper craft.

Unfortunately, in September 2018 disappeared this option. We were unable to recreate the most iconic Yamaha models because the files were removed from the web that allowed us to print the patterns to cut and paste. However, there is a savior who saved all the mockups in PDF and has published them on his website for a year.

Thanks to a man named Chuck we have been able to recover all those Yamaha models. We can download them through the Familybusyness.com website. There are all the cuts that the brand took at the time and also, luckily, they are free!

The collection is long: from the flagship of high-displacement scooters, the Yamaha t-max, a YZF-R1 of 2014, a Vmax from 2009, the Yamaha MT-10, the MT-01 … even something more offroad like the YZ-450FM or more classic like the Yamaha SR400 wave DSC11.

To have one of these motorcycles you only need a good amount of paper, a color printer, scissors and a lot of downtime to get hooked on something that can be considered as pleasant as the ASMR, although depending on the case and the person, obviously.

It must be recognized that the models are quite faithful to the real design, although it all depends on the skill we have when cutting and assembling them. How to cut the profile of a tire with scissors and make it look more like a circle than a polygon? It is not easy at all.

To unite all the pieces the motorcycle is divided into five blocks: wheels, chassis and subframe, engine, front axle and tank, front and side fairing. Each comes with its detailed cutting and assembly instructions.

A rainy weekend is coming up and we're going to have to leave our mounts in the garage so at least we're going to have time to get hooked on riding these ultra-realistic bikes. To give us an idea, there are motorcycles that have almost 1,000 parts placed on almost 60 pages. Prepare a good light, get comfortable in a chair with a good back, and go to hell.
