Akrapovic exhaust and sports equipment: The Yamaha TMax SX Sport Edition reinforces its character

The new Yamaha TMax It has recently been renewed to remain the king of scooters as we have recently seen in our test, and to achieve this it has tripled its offer with three levels of equipment. The conventional TMax is joined by the SX and DX, each one increasing in equipment: the first more towards the sport segment and the second towards the luxury road.

To further satisfy its customers, the Iwata firm launches a special version, with more equipment and a differentiated character: the Yamaha TMax SX Sport Edition, which receives some of the essential accessories for the customers of this sporty maxi scooter.

What is most striking is the new Akrapovic exhaust, always essential in a high percentage of the more than 230,000 TMax sold worldwide since its appearance in 2001. This new silencer finished in matt black with carbon fiber trims lowers the weight of the standard system and enhances the character of the Japanese twin engine, in addition to offering a more forceful sound.

The Sport Edition also includes a new low windshield finished in dark color, to match its sporting intentions, and a new, sportier-cut license plate holder that enhances the vision of the rear. Finally, this Sport Edition uses two new finishes that are unpublished in the range: Matt Silver and Sword Silver.

For the rest, we are facing the most complete scooter on the market, with a powerful engine of 530 cc, 45 hp and 53 Nm of torque mounted on an aluminum chassis with quality suspensions, electronics with S-Mode modes, traction control, ABS and a hollow under the seat for a full face helmet and something else (a jet for example).

We still do not have price confirmed for the Yamaha TMax Sport Edition, but it will probably stay somewhere between € 13,199 for the SX and € 14,199 for the DX.
