The cold returns, Pingüinos returns in its 35th edition with a special tribute to Ángel Nieto

After his expected return last winter the concentration Penguins 2018 will celebrate its 35th edition this year. The appointment will take place between the days January 11 and 14 and, in addition, it will have the same location as last year, the old Military Horse Riding of Valladolid.

Among the many activities that are carried out each year so that all attendees have an unrepeatable weekend, this year those that will serve as tribute to the teacher Ángel Nieto, passed away last August and one of the biggest promoters of this event for years.

35 years of enjoyment between the cold and motorcycles

Like every year the Club Turismoto has organized a full weekend to enjoy the two wheels in the best environment. From its mythical parade of flags to the city of Valladolid to its "penguin breakfasts", passing through the solidarity gestures such as that of Operation Kilo or their musical performances. Pingüinos 2018 is designed to be enjoyed despite the low temperatures that we can find in the city of Pisuerga on those dates.

This year, and given the circumstances, the great protagonist will be Ángel Nieto. At 12 on Saturday night a fault will be burned in his honor and, in addition, he will be awarded another Gold Penguin Award (he already received one in the last 2006 edition). On this occasion it will be his family, represented by Gelete, Pablo and Fonsi Nieto, who will collect the award.

In addition to Ángel Nieto, the others in charge of receiving the Golden Penguin Award will be Ana Carrasco, recognizing your merits and achievements as a woman in a traditionally male world, Joan Mir as world champion of Moto3 and the Ricardo Tormo de Cheste Circuit.
