After having shot with the BMW S 1000 RR more on the track than on roads open to traffic, I have to say that I would have liked to ride with her better on roads with good asphalt. It's not that I particularly like sharing the asphalt with other vehicles, but this is one of those bikes that you don't want to get off of.
But as always, unfortunately it is time to say goodbye, but first we are going to give the last brushstrokes to the experience we have had about one of the most brutal motorcycles of the last years. A motorcycle that has changed more than it seems, because if you play to find the differences you will see that all the fibers are different. And inside there are also interesting news as we have already seen this week.
There will be people who think it is a stubborn motorcycle that finds it difficult to enter the curve but for me, I prefer to have to show the line to the motorcycle than for it to be the one that falls directly, it seems to me that it is a perfect compromise between agility, stability and a firm footing of the front end. I don't like excessively nervous motorcycles, then they move around a lot when cornering.
The propellant is a marvel of elasticity, smoothness and exorbitant power. If you want to play dragsters you can do it, you even have a launch control available, and if you want to go running errands in the city it will not become your arch enemy, except for one thing.
The only contraindication of the enormous potential hidden in its guts is the tremendous heat that gives off. Any hole through which hot air can escape will become a real fireplace ready to burn your skin.
The chassis is also not short on transmitting heat, but the palm is taken by the footrests. Okay, already in July the heat waves have not helped, but rolling with the BMW S 1000 RR At night in the Circuit of Albacete and with a fairly reasonable temperature, the footrests had my feet very warm.
In the passenger section, for those who may be interested, I have to apologize because I did not find any candidate to tame this crazy horse. I mean the BMW. So to the lucky ones who get hold of one of these S 1000 RRs, when you go to put someone in the passenger seat, do not tell them that there are almost 200 horses that can make them fall on their ass from a very high seat, small and where there is no way to hold on.
The solution? A nice cover to make it a single seater. Perhaps the brutal maximum power is the best excuse to ride alone. The BMW S 1000 RR It is a motorcycle to enjoy without the limitations of a passenger or traffic regulations.
I still do not like sports shoes enough to have one, but it must be recognized that the engineers of the best houses make serious efforts to make these machines exciting even for those who do not think about buying such a radical one. And then of course, the surprises come when you try the BMW S 1000 RR and apart from a radical motorcycle you find a usable motorcycle.
