During this morning, Ducati presented in its own house, the structure that will take the good name of the Borgo Panigale factory around the world. With the two official pilots that we already knew, Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone, Ducati launched in 2015 the second year of the "Audi era" in which results should be the order of the day. The new Ducati Desmosedici GP15, which had not been seen until now, comes with an aesthetic facelift in which they have eliminated the gray color and enlivened the traditional Ducatist reddish tone.

As for the forms, the lines have been sharpened, especially in the area of the tail, where the Akrapovic system gives a museum finish to the Desmosedici. The declared weight, to get an idea of how different a prototype like this from a Superbike is, is 158Kg with a V4 engine capable of developing 240hp (a general figure used in the paddock). In the SBK class, Ducati has been very confident, and in MotoGP the image given has been slightly different. Gigi Dall'Igna used to say that it is a motorcycle with a new engine, full of great emotions, whose goal is to win at least one race in 2015. Will Ducati return to the path of victory that they left the same day that Casey Stoner left the ship?

And, although the results of recent years have almost made us forget their numbers, we are talking about a motorcycle that has added 81 podiums and 31 victories, giving 895 laps in first position. And, although they have only achieved a constructors 'and / or drivers' title, Ducati does not make this million-dollar investment to take a ride around the circuits of half the world.
