We start this week with the video in which two ducatist veterans told us their respective versions about who and when the first Ducati Scambler was created, and today we are going to show you the first three custom Ducati Scrambler that can be seen this weekend at the Verona Motorcycle Show (Italy). If it is not clear that Ducati is betting practically everything on this new model, we can say that it does not live in this world.
In record time, since the Ducati Scrambler was presented at the Intermot in Cologne at the end of September, three famous workshops have gone to work to bring us their work. All of them a source of inspiration for this new Ducati model and based on the wide range of possibilities shown by the original model.
Deus ex Machina of Milan have presented the Hondo Grattan, Officine mermaid, also from Milan, present the Scratch and Mr. Martini, from Verona, brings us a first and foremost classic concept called S. C. R. Let's see what they show us one by one.
The version proposed by Deus attaches the utmost importance to the chassis and a body made of aluminum that includes a one-piece tail, the number plates and a front part reminiscent of Speedway motorcycles. The icing on the cake is an asymmetrical fender. The exhaust has been specially manufactured to fit the line of the bike and promises a very personal sound.

It is curious that the first idea that the people of Deus had for this motorcycle came to them while they were giving a few laps with their motorcycles to the Harold Park circuit (horse racing track). So they thought to name her after one of the horses that won all the races on that track, Hondo Grattan, because they hope that when this bike enters a circuit it will be to win everything.
Nicola Martini, the soul of Mr martini, decided to participate in the project because he was completely fascinated by working with the team that has created the Ducati Scrambler. And thanks to this fascination and his ideas he has been able to dress the Ducati Scrambler by Cafe Racer. You can see the result for yourself in the photos.

It should only be mentioned that practically everything has been changed on this motorcycle, from the front fairing, the rear, the exhaust, which now goes through the upper part of the motorcycle and takes on a vital relevance for the design, the footrests or even the handlebar mounts. The entire bike has undergone a paint job that now gives it a all black style, very sober as well as very sporty.
Finally at The Officine Mermaid they opted for a more spartan and basic style. With a tank completely stripped of its paint that received an exclusive artisan treatment. The fenders have also received a special treatment that exposes the metal. According to what they tell us, everything superficial has been eliminated from the motorcycle, even the exhaust has been reduced to the essential minimum.

The wheels on this Mermaid custom Ducati Scrambler are now 21 and 18 inches respectively. The seat has been upholstered in aged green leather, and the central headlamp has another small supporting headlamp on the side. All very "rustic" and essential to create a basic motorcycle.
Thus, in addition to the versions that will be available for anyone who buys a Ducati Scrambler at the dealership, they show us how this bike can be customized to fit your own style. The thing about everyone having the same bike is over because we can't change a single screw, with the Ducati Scrambler we can now have our own bike, adapted to us from the first moment. From now on you Ducati Scrambler will be the first and only unit in a custom run.
