As we already told you yesterday, we are going to submit two bikes from the same developer, Nookbikes, to your discretion and aesthetic taste. Do not think that we are going to carry out a thorough test of the motorcycles, rather it will be a contact where we will collect our sensations and above all we will look at their transformations and details.

This time it's the turn of a 2011 Harley Davidson Forty Eight, which like you are going to be able to check it has a spectacular look. And since it is well born to be grateful, the first thing I am going to do is precisely thank all the facilities they have given us, not only to Nookbikes, but to its owner Oscar, who has kindly made this beautiful motorcycle available to us so that we can show it to you..

Undoubtedly there are several things in this Harley Davidson 48 that stand out at first glance. In addition, from the beginning they give it a different personality in a very simple way. The first of these are your tires. The impressive front wheel without fenders that shows the “old” style of the Avon MkII tire is spectacular and although you may think that with this type of tire we are going to penalize driving a lot, it is not like that.

Certainly, you can notice the lick of the wheel at low speeds but it is an almost imperceptible vibration and even less on a Harley. Neither the dimensions nor the squarer shape of the tire make the behavior lazier, there are not too many differences with a normal one. Of course you are not going to go down in the first roundabout that you see as if your life depended on it, because surely the result will be a good fall. But not to abandon the tire issue, the rear of the same measurement as the striker In the purest bobber style for me, personally it is a bit scarce, despite the fact that the work on the rear wing has been arduous, cutting it and lowering it to make the whole more harmonious.

If we move from the front we can see once sitting down and looking at the handlebars, there are many things that are not where they usually are. A great aesthetic success is to carry the rear-view mirrors underneath and also despite what it may seem, you can see enough without having to force your posture. Likewise, the headlight has been centered and positioned more inside and wiring has been eliminated from the handlebar and chassis. Continuing on our journey we arrive at the deposit. One of the great aesthetic successes of this "48" is the painting that it does not have. Reveal the color of the metal sheet, with a simple brushing in which if you look closely you can see all the passes of the sandpaper perfectly paced, along with the old Harley Davidson logos and the number 48 in the tank with a good work of degrading, it is a success. Of course, in order not to detract from the work carried out and continuing with the same flow line without obstacles, the tank cap is retractable with a simple opening system.

If we look down one side, we will find an impressive Screamin Eagle air filter and on the other the spark plug wires of the same brand with their coils repositioned on a support, leaving free and clear view of the chassis between the tank and the engine. Precisely, already in the part of the engine we can see that there are also subtle changes in some of its parts, but especially the work done on the lower cover that covers the transmission belt. It has been cut and transformed to expose its operation.

As we can see, the seat has been replaced by one with springs that is quite comfortable when you get used to the driving position of outstretched arms and legs in front. It also helps sometimes that the potholes that you may find in the road are not cushioned directly by your back. We could be dwelling on a multitude of details that we find at every step, such as grips, footpegs, oil temperature gauge, exhausts, tool holders, ignition key, rocker covers etc … but without a doubt to end the auction at the rear. of the set consists of clearing the rear fin of all the original paraphernalia. The rear indicators have been trimmed to make the rear part more vintage, keeping the modern function of these.
