Curiously, in the last Erzberg Rodeo, which Carlos told us about a few months ago, a Bimota DBX participated in the twin-cylinder category. With Stefano Sacchini at the controls that exclusive Bimota DBX 1100 He finished fourth in his category and finished in the top 300 of 1,500 participants in the demanding test. At last, and after just a few tweaks, the Bimota DBX 1100 looks set to hit the world market.
Most observers will have noticed that the Ducati Bimota DBX uses a Ducati engine. But conveniently retouched and fitted into a specially designed chassis and suspensions that we could classify as "black leg". In the video below you can see it in action.

The engine is a Ducati that cubes 1,078 cc and is capable of giving 95 hp at 7,700 rpm and a maximum torque of 98 Nm at 6,200 rpm. In the original article it is not indicated what type of Ducati engine it is, but surely some of you will know how to recognize it better than this editor. The chassis is made of niCrmo4 steel tube (Nickel, Chrome, Molybdenum4) with aluminum plates. The tank holds 14 liters of gasoline, and the declared dry weight is only 175 kilos. The front suspension is a 48 mm diameter inverted fork, while behind there is a monoshock adjustable in pre-load, and in rebound-compression. The brakes are signed by Brembo, with two 300mm diameter discs up front and a pair of dual-piston floating calipers. Behind it is a single 255mm disc with radially lowered Brembo caliper and four independent pads.
After watching the video, I don't know if this Bimota DBX1100 will be a good field bike. But I am clear that it serves to open furrows in the field without much effort. Even if you are not an off-road specialist. Let's see what the new owners of Bimota think now.
