The first date of the X-Trial World Championship 2013 was held yesterday in Sheffield and again Toni Bou (Montesa) starts off in a magnificent way getting the victory. Although this time for just one point less than Albert cabestany (Sherco), full of joy and who stood up to Montesa until the last minute of the last zone, keeping the honey on his lips.
Once again a triplet was achieved on the podium since Toni Bou's first place and Albert Cabestany's second place accompanied them on the last step of the podium, Jeroni Fajardor (Beta) although more distanced on the points card.
The first surprise came in the qualifying phase where Adam raga (GAS GAS) was eliminated after making a fiasco in one of the zones. Alexandre ferrer (Sherco), current Junior champion, rang the bell and qualified for the semifinal and even almost reached the final if it did not happen because after the tie on points with James Dabill (Beta), he lost in the tiebreaker round staying behind the doors.

In the final, James Dabill quickly got off the hook just as Jeroni Fajardo would a little later. The fight would be decided from power to power between Toni Bou and Albert Cabestany, who did not give in neither one nor the other.
Sherco's even took the lead but Toni Bou gave one more point to regain the lead by two points in the absence of the last zone, the waterfall. Cabestany faced her first and did what he had to do, zero points to wait for a failure from the rival.
Failure that did not arrive and thanks to the advantage of two points, Toni Bou did not risk and even allowed himself to penalize a point for time and thus take the victory by a minimal advantage. With this, he is the leader of the provisional general classification.
