The fifth date of the World Superbikes, or we would almost say the fourth, since last week we were wanting more (and with a fool's face) after seeing how only half of the two Monza races were played. But controversies aside, the fact is that we reached a circuit that is among my favorites and that is a real delight: Donington, where you always see very exciting races (if time allows it, ahem). So let's stop complaining and get ready to enjoy a good racing weekend.
The truth is that I find it more difficult than ever to make predictions for these races, since there are candidates for victory everywhere. To begin with, we cannot leave out the two winners of last year on the same track. On the one hand Carlos Checa, in that scenario always linked to memories (not necessarily good ones), but which obviously will want to repeat victory. And let's be honest, let's just say that everything that happened in Monza didn't hurt him too badly, considering that it's the worst circuit for his Ducati. And on the other Marco Melandri, who achieved the first victory of the four that he has been in Superbikes here, although it was at that time with the Yamaha r1 and today go with the BMW S1000RR, the fact is that we can not rule out at all. But beware, we are on British soil, and surely more than one will want to be a prophet in their land …

The first of them of course Tom Sykes, that he finally got a well-deserved victory at Monza after his good start to the season, although well, we already know that technically my poor man won half, but we love him just the same. Without a doubt, I see him once again fighting for the high positions. But they will also be around Leon Haslam, Jonathan Rea or even Leon Camier, because surely running at home will help them. And let's not forget about the Irish neighbor Eugene Laverty, Let's see if it gives me joy and takes one of the races (that's how they focus more on his girlfriend, lol).
Outside of the British, God forbid I leave out the leader of the championship, the always nice and pleasant (ironic way very on) Max Biaggi, that surely you will not want to fall from such a privileged position. And to finish, the list is almost endless, Sylvain Guintoli is another of those that we will surely see fighting at the top in both races, and his partner Jakub Smrz which was second last year at Donington. Do not forget on the other hand, that John Hopkins will not be accompanying his British team in the home event, due to the broken foot and hip injuries that occurred in the fall of Monza, and will be replaced by Peter Hickman, while David salom He will not be either (also as a result of his crash at Monza) and we will see the BSB pilot in his place. Gary Mason.
And little else, I only have to get wet and make a pool that is very, very complicated. Let's see, let's see …

Supersport, let's continue with the race winner tonic please

In the Monza preview, he commented that in the category of Supersport I was hoping to see the first podium of Jules Cluzel, and boy did I see it! Nothing less than the race that was played by the way in delicate conditions. The fact is that he also commented that up to now we knew a winner per race, and so we continue. Of course, for this race the winner must be Sam Lowes. He was on the verge of being it in Monza and running now at home … well, that marked him as a clear favorite to victory. Plus, it is the curious circumstance that the top four last year at Donnington are no longer in the category. Of course, be careful with Kenan Sofuoglu, Fabien Foret and Cluzel himself among others, who will surely want to sour friend Sam's party. To continue with the race winner tonic that I was commenting on, I bet the following …
Bet
Sam lowes
Kenan Sofuoglu
Jules Cluzel
