The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the second oldest round of competition in the world in the United States, was held last weekend in Colorado. On the way to heaven Carlin dunne, aboard the Ducati Multistrada 1200, has clinched the victory while his teammate and six-time race champion, Greg tracy, has been the second classified. Among them, they have monopolized the last three editions for Ducati and its Multistrada.
For many, the 2012 edition, postponed by the fires in the area until last December 12, marked a before and after in the history of Pikes Peak as it was the first to be held on a 100% paved track - already in the 2011 edition, progress was made in the works -. This detail reduces the difficulty and character of its 152 curves, but it is far from ending the spirit that is breathed in its environment.
Thanks to this we also have new times in all categories, records that have left the previous ones in another dimension. In 2011, Carlin Dunne, as a member of Ducati Santa Monica, rolled in 11 minutes, 11 seconds and 320 thousandths, a time that he has devoured this year by completing the course in 9 minutes 52 seconds and 819 thousandths, being the first motorcycle to come down from the 10-minute barrier. While we prepare a little extra content and exclusively from Pikes Peak, we leave you the official gallery that Ducati provides us.
