28 year old man, a native of Castletown on the Isle of Man, has been sentenced to nine and a half months in jail for throwing a beer can on the road for which one of the island's road racing events is held, the southern 100. Surely you remember the shocking images that the fans collected in one of the most famous curves of this race and, after seeing them again, one is not surprised by the sentence they have imposed on it.

If the Tourist Trophy is the most dangerous of all the races that exist, the Southern 100 is nothing more than a smaller version in which the drivers also leave the grid at the same time for a total of eight laps. As in the North West 200 we find hand-to-hand fights between the participants and very rarely, if not you can never afford a mistake. And, far from it, that an unconscious play their lives and that of the spectators present there for having drunk more than necessary.

The defense asked that Martin Lee Morris, the convict, not go to prison because it is the sustenance of a family with a daughter of only three years. However, the judge has considered that it should not be an excuse to get rid of the sentence and that just that was what he had to think before throwing the can.
