Two weeks ago we brought you forward to the duel that Moto Journal's French neighbors had prepared taking advantage of the cold European winter. Although we have already seen tests of all kinds, the truth is that few times someone tries so hard to create such different material. Counting on the right dose of good humor, mixed with the sympathy and professionalism that characterizes them and accompanied by the quality of their protagonists. See for example Serge Nuques, the pilot always in charge of entertaining the personnel with a supernatural piloting.

Serge and the Moto Journal team traveled to Arjeplog, (Lapland) - I know they were on a motorcycle - where, in collaboration with the local team of testers, they set up the beach bar on the exact replica of the Paul Ricard circuit that they have on ice. Once the track had been chosen, all that remained was to choose the weapons they would use. Four are the options: Mitsubishi EVO IX, Porsche GT3 RS, Yamaha WRF450 and Yamaha YZF-R1.

In the first round we find on one side of the path is the Mitsubishi EVO IX used by the organization and perfectly adapted to the conditions. It has an engine 1.9-liter four-cylinder capable of developing about 280cv, which translates into an acceleration from 0 to 100km / h in 5.7 seconds. Facing the successful Japanese sports car, the Yamaha WRF450 that Serge has driven around the world at no more than 147km / h for his 50hp approximately.

Very different are the figures of the "Titans class" of the test. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS under its body hides 450hp and a top speed that easily exceeds 300km / h. To catch up with them and counteract the four points of support that their wheels give the Yamaha YZF-R1 It has been prepared for the occasion with the characteristic studded tires. Despite this, the superbike has it really raw to develop all its power and take advantage of its theoretical superiority on asphalt. I don't bore you anymore and I leave you with the complete test of the enviable French press.
