Dakar 2013 route announced

It will be the fifth time that the Dakar has been run on the South American continent and the event organizers have already made the official date promotional events calendar as well as the test route for next year 2013. From January 5 to 20, the pilots will compete on a route that goes from Lima to Santiago de Chile with a rest day in San Miguel de Tucumán. The desert stages will be the protagonists since the raid started well.

In this way this ordeal begins in the middle of the desert with the dunes of Peru that have proven to be stages of a quality and technique beyond any doubt. Passing Los Andes, the test will change color and become very diverse, so the most versatile and adaptable will be the ones that make the difference. That part will be in Argentina to go to Chile with two different phases in the Atacama desert on the one hand and a succession of dunes chained together on the other, just before finishing.
