Toni Bou already caresses the X-Trial World Championship title after his victory in Mallorca

The fifth date of the X-Trial World Championship it took place in Majorca and again, Toni Bou has managed to impose in what is his fifth consecutive victory of the season. With this, the title remains at his fingertips since with only being fifth in the sixth and penultimate test that takes place today in Milan, he will be crowned champion of the specialty.

Second was Albert cabestany. Sherco's did not make things easy for him and until the end he tightened the pegs on Toni Bou. Third, the Japanese and partner of Toni Bou, Takahisa fujinami he managed to prevent Adam Raga from going up to the podium and completing a completely Spanish box.

The zones designed and through which the drivers passed in qualifying were extremely easy, and the top six (Toni Bou, Albert Cabestany, Takahisa Fujinami, Adam Raga, Jeroni Fajardo and Loris Gubian) they managed to complete them without leaving any penalty points. They therefore had to repeat the route of one of the zones but timed, so that if the scoring was repeated, the order of the semifinal would be decided by the chrono.

Albert cabestany

The first to penalize were Loris Gubian and Takahisa Fujinami, both with a fiasco. In the tiebreaker between them, the Frenchman had a worse time and would be sixth in the semifinal. For his part, Jeroni Fajardo (Beta) took 22 seconds to complete the route while Albert Cabestany did it in 20. Adam Raga hit a surprising slowdown, leaving the best mark in just 16 seconds but the surprise would come with Toni Bou and his impressive ten seconds of time invested to complete the zone. People were left with their mouths open.

In the semifinal, Loris Gubian and Jeroni Fajardo were left out of the final, and only Adam Raga passed, with six penalty points (fiasco in zone 1), Takahisa Fujinami with three (also in zone 1), Albert Cabestany with two distributed between zone 1 and three and Toni Bou, who left one foot in zone three and a point per time in four.

The final started with maximum emotion, with Toni Bou and Albert Cabestany tied with two points. However, the one from Sherco lost in the race in parallel with Toni himself and had then a point of disadvantage, which would become two after the last zone, thus making Toni Bou with the victory.
