I read with some envy that in the countries of central Europe there is the possibility of charge your motorcycle (or car) and take it to any other country you can reach by train. This way you can save a few kilometers of route and some day of travel until you reach your chosen destination. So you can cross Europe from Holland to Italy, get off the train and be able to enjoy your motorcycle at the vacation spot. Unfortunately, and unless it has happened to me on the web, in Spain RENFE, or whatever it is called now, it has not had this service for a few years.
Of course, in many cases the trip itself is the adventure, and it is almost more fun to go and return than what you do in that vacation place. But if, for example, you want to attend a concentration in Germany but your job prevents you from taking the necessary days of vacation, one option could be to load the motorcycle on the train and let them drive for you for a few thousand kilometers. Of course Spain, which is a leading country in high-speed trains, this option cannot be contracted. I do not know when this service was stopped, but I still remember the access platforms to the car wagons at the Alicante station.
To make our teeth long, I leave you a video of the Autoslaaptrein Dutch.
