But even the 2010 MV AGUSTA F4 1000 has a lack of robustness defect in a part of the sub-chassis that can cause the bike to become unstable. But if we continue to delve further into the subject, we realize that in the vast majority of cases it is the brands themselves that inform the consumer authorities about the problem detected and the measure with which they intend to correct this defect. Thus, for more serious cases that can cause an accident, the brands usually notify the motorcycle owners to correct the defect at the brand dealer at no cost to the user. For less serious defects, they are corrected when we take the motorcycle to the workshop, either for review or for any other action. But the owner identified in the database is not always the current owner and not all owners take their motorcycle to the official workshop of the brand, so there may be many owners who do not know that your motorcycle has a manufacturing defect important.
Do not think that now there are more defective motorcycles than before because now we know with a single click the defects of all the motorcycles on the market. This must be thanked not only to the internet, but also to manufacturers who are increasingly transparent when communicating these defects to consumers. But what if the brand does not communicate that defect or is simply not aware of it? Well, we as owners can also notify the consumer authorities of the defect or even through the AMM itself by completing a form, they will carry out the process for us.
