On yesterday's stage, Marc Coma made a navigation error at the beginning of the eleventh stage of the 2010 Dakar Rally, which prevented him from adding another victory. The Spanish driver continued straight on at a junction, losing a dozen minutes that he could not recover. Jonah Street did not make that mistake and set the best time on his way through CP1 although the Dutch BMW driver, Frans Verhoeven, was on the heels of the American pilot in the sets.
At the end of the stage, the Dutchman set the best time with just four seconds ahead of the American rider. Verhoeven thus offers you the first win for BMW since 2001, and thus forget the mishaps suffered in the first two stages that were about to make him leave. Duclos and Ullevalseter completed the top four positions. The Nordic rider thus managed to establish himself in second place overall thanks to the worst times for Chaleco and Rodrigues.
Marc Coma lost more than five minutes on the finish line and did so in ninth position. It is necessary to emphasize again Juan Pedrero Garcia, eighth on today's stage, which has managed to snatch twenty-two seconds from Jakub Przygonski in his particular fight for ninth position. Pellicer, after some magnificent stages, has been forced to retire.
Cyril Despres finished seventh, perfectly managing his lead and making no mistakes. In cars, victory for Guerlain Chicherit and Sainz, with some problems, has Nasser Al Attiyah just over four minutes away.
