After the first contact made in Crevillente with the Vectrix VX-1, I met with the importer where he would bring me the bike to Alicante and there I could test it for three days. At first they were going to bring me the motorcycle in tow, but they dared to throw it out on the road and in the end they brought it to me rolling. When I picked it up, the battery indicator was in the middle, after having done about 40 kilometers the display of the estimated autonomy indicated that there was energy left to do more than 50 kilometers. So I put my helmet on and went running a few errands around town.

Less than a hundred meters from where the motorcycle had been delivered to me, while I was stopped at a traffic light, the first ones who were interested in it were a local police couple, who, seeing the decoration on the motorcycle, caught their attention. After the pertinent explanation I realized that it was going to be three days in which they were going to look at me at almost all the traffic lights. And they don't look at you because of the noise that the motorcycle makes, or because of its exceptional design, if not because it was a police motorcycle without the beacons or the siren. What I expected.

The dynamic behavior in the city is that of any other Scooter of its size, with good acceleration and no problem when strolling around. At this point I have to tell you that the Vectrix VX-1 It has a position of the grip that acts as a brake and at the same time reverses the direction of energy, which stops going from the battery to the motor, which can recover up to 12% of the energy consumed by the motor. This brake system, once you get used to it, makes you forget the conventional brakes, since it is even capable of stopping the bike on a downhill slope with two good-sized people on top. It also allows you to enter a curve somewhat past and "pull the brakes" in the middle without the bike complaining. And if you have the motorcycle stopped, when you hit that counter-direction you can go backwards.
The arrangement of the handlebar, mirrors and windshield assembly is adequate to be able to sneak between the mirrors of the cars without problems. The only "problem" is that you arrive without making any noise, the only thing that sounds is the friction of the tires against the asphalt, which is not enough for those of the cars to realize that they have a motorcycle next to them. The advantage is that the electric motor accelerates like a beast, and as soon as the traffic light turns green you can go ahead of them without problems. Let's remember that there is neither variator nor clutch nor anything that resembles them, so the acceleration is linear from zero. The only one that it disappoints is when you reach 100 km / h, at which point you notice that the engine limitation acts and does not let you continue accelerating, if not that you maintain speed.

We have already commented that the seat is quite wide, and it is not too high (800 mm from the ground), it is also divided into two areas, the pilot's which is a little lower and the passenger's, a few centimeters above, flat. and that hides a hole underneath where a large jet helmet fits and the possible junk that you carry, such as a not very large bag or similar. In that Hollow under the seat you will find the cable and the plug to recharge the battery. That can be connected directly to the home network without any problem, since the consumption is 1500 watts, more or less what an iron consumes.

Recharging the motorcycle needs a plug available for about three hours, which is how long it takes to recharge the battery. All this is done automatically and managed by the software included in the motorcycle. This Software controls the battery temperature and available volts. Based on these parameters, you decide whether to charge the battery directly or to let it go through a cooling period.
After all day riding around, the motorcycle even told me that it had a little more than 10 kilometers of autonomy left, so I decided to take it to the garage and leave it charging until the next day.
