Brrrr !!! I'm still frothing at the mouth. The second race of the Superbike World Championship it looked very similar to the first one, with a Noriyuki Haga making a good start, followed by Jonathan Rea and Carlos Checa. Behind, Ben Spies was trying to come back after a bad start. After a couple of overtaking between Rea and Haga, the british has reached the end of the straight and he has touched with Haga, leaving the Japanese rider to the ground without possibilities of rejoining the race.
Troy Corser, also in the top positions, was losing steam little by little while Ben Spies, with the Japanese out of the race and just two points behind in the general classification, was driving all on fire to try to hunt down the British leader. And he did so, after literally having a snack with all the pilots he met.
Nevertheless, Jonathan sold the victory dearly, and he was not intimidated by the American's attacks, closing all the doors very well on the last lap to win the second of the races. Behind, Check again third, Max Biaggi, Leon Haslam and Troy Corser, who returned to animate the peloton with a very close fight and continuous overtaking.
With this second position, Ben Spies takes the lead, with 22 points of advantage over the Japanese Noriyuki Haga.
