The North American Pilot Ben spies continues in its line after the summer break in the Superbike World Championship. Despite not having done good practice, his career has progressed from less to more, managing to catch up with Noriyuki Haga in the middle of the race and making a change of pace with two laps to go that the Japanese rider could not answer. Haga, who had kept the first position with the green light, has lost the first position and although he has tried in the last laps, made a little mistake in the end it made him lose a few tenths that he could no longer recover.
Third was Carlos Checa, in a very good comeback that was reported by Jonathan Rea, Max Biaggi, Leon Haslam and Michel Fabrizio, who would finally be fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively. This group was very lively throughout the race, with continuous overtaking at the end of the straight, in which we could see a driver constantly sneaking in trying to take the braking rush a little further.
The race had to be stopped on the first lap due to an accident in which John Hopkins and Makoto Tamada were involved, among others. The two pilots had to be transferred to the Adenaiu hospital to assess the extent of their injuries.
