In its 10 years of existence, the Toni Soler Memorial became a unique event in the enduro scene in our country. A mythical test different from all the others. From the beginning it had the favor of the fans and it was a natural enduro party with about a thousand participants. The unavoidable appointment of the month of February. But the test was born with an expiration date and the tenth edition was the last of the Toni Soler Memorial. When it was announced that the race would not be held in 2010, there was a significant gap in the world of enduro.
The Bassella Race was born with the vocation to fill that gap and be the continuation of what the Toni Soler Memorial has represented. However, some modifications and updates have been made, although always ensuring to maintain the same spirit. In fact, most of the ingredients that made the Toni Soler Memorial succeed are maintained: same location, same dates, a relaxed atmosphere and an easy and fun race approach. The Bassella Race I will be on February 13 and 14, 2010.
Enrollment opened a couple of weeks ago and more than 650 pilots are already registered so if you want to participate in this party you will have to hurry before the quota is complete. Registration prices vary between 40 and 90 euros, depending on the category, and with license. In the link at the end of this post you will find more information about the test and registration.
The main difference with the previous editions of the Toni Soler Memorial is in the separation of federated and amateur races to avoid bending and overtaking that could become dangerous. The first start will be at 9.30 a.m. for federated pilots and the second start at 11.30 a.m. for the category of friends and women. In this way, they do not coincide on the track. Arrival control will close at 4.30 pm.
What's more, There is an Elite category that will compete in an extreme race on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., in which the order of the starting grid will be played, which will have a pyramidal shape. On the same Saturday there will be other show races in the afternoon. On Saturday morning the race circuit (a total of 50 kilometers) will be open for recognition from 10 to 12 hours. At the same time, the verifications will be made, which will optionally have started on Friday.
In short, the second weekend of February will be a big party for enduro, both for the participants and for the spectators.
