The evolution of brake systems is constant but most of the time, we hardly appreciate these improvements. Changes in the material, the machining, the material of the discs, the pads and other modifications are constant but nevertheless, unless they tell us, we will hardly be able to differentiate them. Unless we see something as obvious as the Brakko combined braking system.

During the evolution of motorcycles year after year, there are times when the concept is completely changed. First was the step of the brakes drum to the brakes of disk. The new design of Brakko places the disc inside the rim, allowing the braking forces to be transmitted much more directly to it, and not through the hub, spokes and disc anchors.

The clamps are positioned radially and they allow a multitude of different configurations: from a single four-piston caliper, to two two-piston calipers each in different areas. Even in this central position, changing the pads is easy. Even the rim is removed without any problem, using quick connectors for the hydraulic circuit of the brakes.

It is applicable to both alloy wheels and spoke wheels. In view of the photos, the change of the discs is done by removing the spokes from the rim and extracting it from one side. As a last advantage, the shape of the rim and the location of the disc improves cooling of this.
