Heated garments are undoubtedly one of the best solutions for the cold that has been with us for a few months in this harsh winter. Because Triumph has just added a garment to its range of accessories that surely many of you are willing to try.
It's about a heated vest. This is developed together with EXO2, an English company specialized in the creation of heated garments that use FabRoc®, a
material that allows self-regulation of the heating system adapting to the
own body.
One of the characteristics of the new vest is that uses less amps than other common systems like heated grips. The vest is designed to achieve optimal protection in the most sensitive areas, such as the kidneys, chest and back.
The pattern of the vest is short, to be worn under jackets, and has adjustable straps to adapt to the body. And how does it produce heat?
Well there is three systems. The most basic is to connect a cable directly to the battery. Another involves incorporating an optional system to the motorcycle that allows the vest to be attached easily. And finally, for those who are hooked on it and do not want to use it only on the motorcycle, they can also buy a battery pack and use it even on the street.
What curiositiesIt should be noted that it cannot be used at the same time as the heated grips and high beams on the Tiger and Sprint ST models. It cannot be used on the ROCKET III, AMERICA and SPEEDMASTER models at the same time as the TRIUMPH “lightbar” range of original accessories, and only one person per motorcycle can ride with the vest activated.
With the cold that I have been through this morning, the truth is that a garment like this would be great for me. The price of this advanced garment is 259 euros, more or less like a heating bill for a couple of months in a house.
