This weekend the task is going to pile up, because in addition to the Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi, the fourth round of the Superbike World Championship in Assen, Holland. Assen is famous for being one of the few old-school circuits that remains active in both world championships. This circuit was created in 1955 to house the Assen TT on a permanent circuit, since until then it was held in semi-permanent facilities. Throughout its history it has undergone several renovations that have shortened it. Initially the track was 7705 meters, which was reduced to 6134 meters in 1984, 5997 meters in 2005 and 4555 meters in 2006, which was the last remodel. The track currently has 17 curves of which 11 are left and 6 are right. The length of the home straight is 560 meters.

In 2008 the victory went to Troy bayliss on both sleeves, accompanied by Carlos Checa and Max Neukirchner in the first sleeve and of Noriyuki Haga and Carlos Checa in the second. Bayliss also dominated the Superpole, closely followed by Haga and Ruben Xaus. The first line of the grid was completed Troy corser to 300 thousandths. In Supersport the victory went to Andrew Pitt, accompanied on the podium by Jonathan Rea and spanish Joan Lascorz, all with Honda. In Superstock 1000 the winner was Berguer, followed by Pyrrhus and Simeon and in Superstock 600 the winners were Linfoot, Vostarek and Lonbois.
