A strange feeling to be on the starting grid and only have Juancho in front of him on pole. I was used to going out, like very forward, fifth, so I already have something else to tell the grandchildren. Pedro starts very strong, and has a better rhythm than I am sure (it's his home circuit). In addition, he is the one who can snatch third place from me in the standings, so you have to think of a strategy.

This one is pretty simple: get out fast and try to keep him behind. The physique is not his strong suit, so the first six laps, out of fifteen, are crucial to ride light. What's more, With the heaters, I can shoot to death from the exit. In case I get ahead of myself, try to stay glued while waiting for the last laps. and above all, forbidden to fall.

I go well, but Pedro is an old dog in the race, and he quickly comes out to put me on the parallel bike and even almost get me off track. I have no choice but to cut and think about plan B. But this does not work, because they have a hellish and unattainable pace for me. In two laps I lose the reference to them. Again to roll alone controlling the fifth, which is Cibrics. In the third lap, I get a visual reference of him, and although my father from the pit lane is reading the race to me, there is nothing like knowing where he is to calculate the pace.

The turns go by and I have controlled the race. I'm riding almost a second slower, so I take it easy and don't burn out. With five laps to go, Sigismund, who was glued to the Cibrics wheel, goes to the ground, allowing him to slow down and me too. Behind Noss recovers by leaps and bounds and he already has Cibrics within range.

Two laps later, it is Router who goes to the ground. It hurts and it's the first time I can't stop to see how it is. This is career, and It is a strange feeling to see him on the ground and then standing up, complaining, and not being able to stop. Two laps and I focus for the end.

Pedro must have sneaked in a corner, and he has slowed down a lot, I am catching up with him, but he has me under control, and he accelerates just enough to maintain a three-second lead until the end of the race. The same thing that I am doing with Cibrics.

Juancho wins the race, Franín second and Pedro third. Bad vibes, because although I am still third in the general, Pedro is already only 10 points away. Behind, Cibrics and Noss. For his part, Router waits for those three laps, and when he stops seeing stars, he gets on again and goes through the finish line to get a handful of points.

There are only two races left …
