Last Saturday May 31, Motoviedo held an open day to test different models of the brand Suzuki. For meteorological reasons it had already been postponed the previous weekend with the vague hope of an improvement in the weather, but during the previous days everything seemed to indicate that the tests were going to be carried out with wet asphalt, since the liquid element was making an appearance. faithful to his appointment every afternoon.

Even so, a hint of optimism hovered in my brain, as I had stayed at ten in the morning, hoping to take advantage of the sunny mornings that visited us first thing in the morning. But nothing could be further from reality, just got up, rain and fog slammed the car's windshield on my way to the dealership.

Wetsuit, helmet, gloves, boots and a bit of nervousness to know how a motorcycle would behave with such a power and torque in wet conditions, as we remember that the figures checked in the bank are of 171 hp and 13.8kgm.

The route has been rather simple, because as you will see in the photos, the day was not accompanied to do mischief, but it was enough to draw some conclusions:

As you see it, two things stand out: its very wide tank and its huge silencers. Next to it, the rest of the bike is minimalist, starting with its small headlight, which houses a very legible instrument panel, chaired by the tachometer. The Contact, just like him dashboard management instruments and choice of the two power curves, is located on the tank. It all goes on a chrome part. This, along with small details such as the chrome-plated throttle cable outlet, evoke a heritage from custom bikes.

We turn the ignition key and we give the starter. It immediately starts to purr, but it's a sound you don't expect compared to the size of the silent ones. Standing there, I expected a little more bad milk.

The position is relatively comfortable. its low and narrow seat makes it easier for medium-sized people to reach the ground with relative ease (their 259kg verified in running conditions do not induce hesitation with your feet in low speed maneuvers). And even for tall people like me, who is around 1.90m, you find everything perfectly positioned. The problem for tall people comes rolling, because the legs are slightly higher than their optimal location on the sides of the tank, and this being so wide, forces to take them far apart and with it, the toes of the feet.

Standing still, the weight is noticeable. This is heavily loaded on the front wheel, and the steering, equipped with a shock absorber, below 40km / h feels stiff. At this speed, the motorcycle tends to close the steering in the direction of the turn, a detail that the first few times makes you frown thinking about the grip of the front wheel, especially in the wet, but later you realize that only it's a sensation, and the bike never breaks down.

As to power, this appears in abundance, and if it is not for the gear indicator on the table, sometimes you would not know what speed you drive. It responds from 2,000 laps without hesitation, up to 10,500, with a completely flat stretch. But at no time scaresIt is docile like a kitten if you pet it, and fierce like a tiger if you want to tickle it.

The feel of the brakes, in the wet, I found them very good for their dosage. As for its power I have not been able to put them in trouble (I would have put myself rather), but apparently it should not present problems to stop it.

Finally, note that modified the power curve in B mode, the motorcycle is limited to 120hp, optimal conditions for circulating in the city and in the wet.
